"A thrill of hope..."

Had a lovely “Christmassy” weekend. It began with our church’s (HCC) annual Christmas production – "Hope has Hands" - which was beautiful! Loved seeing my friend Sandi dancing up on stage. Super-proud of her! Really loved the orchestra too! Made me want to take up playing the violin!! Then Saturday, while the man was at a bachelor’s do in Parys (that’s not Afrikaans for Paris!), I got started with some Christmas gift shopping for our families. Three down…seven to go.. Hmm…

thanks for the pics Babe! mwa!

Sunday, we handed in a gift for an orphan for the Little Starts Project. His name is Musa and he’s five years old. Hope he likes his giant water pistol! We also celebrated 3 months of being married at Gameal’s (awesome Lebanese restaurant) and then we ended off a lovely day with Carols by Candle Light at HCC – always a magical experience – with about 4000 candles doing the Mexican wave all over the auditorium! That finished off with a big Christmas party with ice-cream and balloons floating down from the ceiling! What fun! And all this because of one beautiful, Holy night…

“…O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!...”
